[ PRESENTATION ]
From the 3rd to the 12th March 2008, the sound of African drums will resonate in the University of Avignon. Touched by starvation and galloping inflation, repression and illnesses, the lack of electricity, water, medications and means of communication, Zimbabwe is a country too often forgotten. The African Students Association, with the help of the 3rd-year students in Communication in the University of Avignon, have decided to help you discover what Zimbabwe
has become today, not through its undeniable difficulties but through its art and its culture, a very unexpected and beautiful culture that is sometimes the only testimony possible of Zimbabwe's misfortunes.
'Expression of Zimbabwe' is the occasion to discover a country worth discovering, through a painting and sculpture exhibition, film projections, readings, photographs, music and dance, as well as through meetings with Zimbabweans themselves or with people who have gained first-hand knowledge of this country.
Nobody can remain indifferent towards the situation and the incredible creativity in Zimbabwe today.
